Nudie Jeans

This is Nudie Jeans

We love jeans, a passion we share with everyone who mourns a pair of worn out jeans as a close friend. Jeans share the same soul and attitude as music. The inspiration springs from the same dreams. As a true jeans brand we are not looking for the short-term trends. The inspiration is far from glamour and catwalks. The collection is tight, like a rock band, reflecting the feeling of everyday life.
Design goes beyond creating just a product that serves to fulfil a need or a function. The philosophy of Nudie Jeans is to become part of your dreams. Jeans have a natural built-in dream and attitude.
Nudie Jeans will stay true to jeans and all about jeans.
Nudie is the ”naked truth about denim”. Denim has the ability to age beautifully – formed by its user into a second skin, naked and personal. The longer it lives the more character it gets. The indigo is a living colour that fades and gives the denim its character. The more you wear your jeans the more beautiful they get. Jeans are more than just a piece of clothing.

Dry Denim

Dry, dark unwashed denim, is the strongest and most durable alternative, and will also give the most personal result. Use your dry jeans as much as possible before the first wash. Six months is a good start. A pair of jeans is like a second skin where the indigo and denim are living materials. Jeans is all about passion and deep relationship – the more you wear and treat your jeans, the more beautiful they get. Your everyday life gives the denim its unique character, formed by you into a second skin – personal and naked. As long as they are dry (dark and stiff) they have a surface, almost like they are water resistant. You should not try to clean local spots as it removes the indigo and you will get a bleach spot for a long time. The longer you can keep them unwashed, the more beautiful they will get.

Washing Your Dry Jeans

Turn well worn dry jeans inside out otherwise they might get unwanted crinkles from the machine.
Use washing powder with little or no bleach. Wash in 60 degrees to get a better fading effect of the indigo and the natural worn in effects also get more evident.
You can wash in 40 degrees if you prefer to get a darker cast.
Turn them back to normal and shake them flat, otherwise they might get unwanted stay press effect. When they are still damp you can stretch the inseam as much as needed. Let them dry naturally by hanging, not folded.
If you prefer to keep the dry look (dark and slightly greycasted) you can have them dry cleaned which only removes the dirt but does not affect the indigo fading process as water is not added.

Prewashed Jeans

Many people want to buy jeans with a used look. These jeans are washed and treated in different ways to give them a worn and used look from day one. To get the authentic second hand feeling and washed look the distressed denim is achieved through bleaching and several mechanical treatments like stonewashes, sandblasting and scraping locally. All these processes is time consuming, hand made and expensive, which is reflected in the higher prices compared to dry denim (unwashed). The effect of the treatments that are made to get a second hand feeling is permanent and can not be removed. They are comparable to jeans already worn for years and years. This means that they will not last as long as if you buy them dry and break in your own denims.
Prewashed jeans don't have to be treated as dry jeans, There is no point in waiting a long time to wash them as the prewash effect is
